Educators will receive a comprehensive overview and direct practical experience of how to relate to individuals with mental and physical disabilities.  Come expand your valuable knowledge, training and skills necessary to effectively work with children with a range of disabilities, create awareness, and pass it on to your classified staff!

Parents and caregivers will receive an outline on how to give “A Day in the Life…” presentation to a school, church or community classroom.   You will take away different examples of materials and hands on activities that will help you to illustrate what it’s like to live with a disability when talking with your loved one’s class, church, team or community group.   Plus, you will also receive a sample take home letter you will be able to personalize with some myths and truths about Down syndrome to use as a leave-behind information piece after doing your presentations.

DSNetwork needs your help to spread awareness that individuals with Down syndrome are more alike than different. Please join us for this great opportunity to learn how to advocate effectively for individuals with Down syndrome and other exceptionalities.
